A cost-effective pump protection device.
Available in either Paddle or Trailing Wire versions, the flow switch is installed within the pipe. When flow stops, or becomes too low, a contact is made + the pump stops.
Generally, Pump Station pumps are controlled primarily by the sump from which they are pumping. If level measurement errors occur, the pump will continue to pump even if there is no flow through the pump, damaging / destroying the pump.
Smart pump controllers are also available, which ‘learn’ pump cycles and operating conditions.
Float level switches are also a cost-effective pump protection device
